I began teaching Icelandic to connect with people passionate about the language. Over the past 10 years, teaching online has allowed me to forge meaningful connections with my students. And I've rediscovered my language more deeply in the process.

For those looking to improve their Icelandic quickly, here’s my advice:
Use filler words like heyrðu, hérna, or sko. Because they give you time to think and make you sound more authentically "Icelandic".
Remember: everyone struggles with a new language at first. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Connect the language to something you love, like a hobby, to make learning more enjoyable and see how your progress explodes!
