I'm Óskar Bragi!
I began teaching Icelandic to connect with people passionate about Icelandic. Over the past 10 years, teaching online has allowed me to forge meaningful connections with students and helped me rediscover Icelandic in a deeper way.

For those looking to improve their Icelandic quickly, here’s my best advice:
Use filler words like heyrðu, hérna, or sko. Because they give you time to think about what you're going to say next, and they signal to native speakers that you know some basics.
And remember: everyone struggles with a new language at first! So don’t be too hard on yourself. Connect the language to something you love, like a hobby, to make learning more enjoyable.

I use English explanations for tricky concepts so transitions to more advanced Icelandic feel smoother and clearer.

This course builds on what you already know, gradually increasing difficulty so you can grow your skills and confidence in Icelandic.
