👉🏼 Are you drawn to Iceland’s ancient traditions and culture but find the language completely unfamiliar?

You’re in the right place. Together, we’ll overcome those fears and embark on a meaningful journey to discover Icelandic, a language as beautiful and unique as the country itself.

Through my online courses, you’ll get step-by-step guidance, structured lessons, and interactive practice designed to help you learn at your own pace, anytime, anywhere. Online learning provides the flexibility to study at your convenience, while still feeling supported and motivated throughout your progress.

Learning Icelandic is like opening a window to a whole new world. You’ll gain confidence, understand cultural nuances, and connect more deeply with Iceland and its people.

As your teacher, my goal is to make language learning simple, enjoyable, and truly rewarding, one lesson at a time!

Góðan daginn (Good day)!

I'm Óskar Bragi, your new favorite Icelandic teacher!

I began teaching Icelandic to connect with people passionate about the language. Over the past 10 years, teaching online has allowed me to form meaningful connections with my students. And I've rediscovered my language more deeply in the process.

When I’m not teaching Icelandic, you’ll find me:

  • Enjoying some quality time with my daughter.
  • Immersing myself in the world of movies (I’m quite the human IMDB and love everything about filmmaking).
  • Exploring the breathtaking and dramatic landscapes of Iceland.
  • Occasionally taking a refreshing ice plunge (sometimes in the Atlantic Ocean!)
  • Quite often warming up with a lovely cup of coffee.

For those looking to improve their Icelandic quickly, here’s my advice:

Use filler words like heyrðu, hérna, or sko. Because they give you time to think and make you sound more authentically "Icelandic".

Remember: everyone struggles with a new language at first. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Connect the language to something you love, such as a hobby, to make learning more enjoyable and see how your progress takes off!
